Who we are

Conceptor Design Studio is an interior design, architecture and landscape practice based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Our registered address is Sheikh Rashid Tower, Office 805, Dubai World Trade Centre, P.O. Box 128840, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Conceptor Design Studio, and "you" means anyone who visits conceptor.ae or contacts us through it.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to this website only. It does not cover other sites we link to, which have their own policies.

What information we collect

Information you give us

Every form on this site asks for the same small set of details. When you submit an enquiry, request a call, or start a WhatsApp conversation from the site, we collect:

• Your full name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you choose to provide it - this field is optional
• Whatever you write in the message field, if you write anything

We also record which form you used and which page you were on when you used it, so we know what you were looking at when you got in touch.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and nothing else.

We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this website, and we do not collect them.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs when you load a page. These include your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and basic information about your browser and device. These logs exist so the site can be operated and protected from abuse.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Clarity records anonymised session replays and builds heatmaps showing where visitors click and scroll. It collects your IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, and your interactions with the page. Clarity masks text entered into form fields by default, but you should assume anything you type on a page may be recorded and avoid typing sensitive information into a field that does not ask for it.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store. This site does not use cookies for advertising and does not sell data to advertisers.

The cookies set on this site come from two places:

• Microsoft Clarity sets cookies named SM, MR, ANONCHK, CLID and MUID. These let Clarity recognise a returning visitor across pages so a session replay makes sense as one visit rather than a series of unrelated page loads.
• Our hosting platform may set strictly necessary cookies required to serve and secure the site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though the parts of it that remember your choices may not.

You can opt out of Microsoft Clarity and other Microsoft advertising and analytics tracking at the Microsoft opt-out page.

How we use your information

We use what you give us only for the reasons you gave it to us:

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
• To call you back, if you asked us to
• To send you a confirmation that we received your message
• To send you our newsletter, if you subscribed to it
• To understand how the website is used, so we can make it clearer and faster
• To keep records of the enquiries we have received, and to meet any legal or accounting obligations that apply to us

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you for advertising.

Our legal basis for using it

We process personal data under the United Arab Emirates Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Where you are in a jurisdiction with its own data protection law, such as the UK or the European Economic Area, we aim to meet the equivalent standard.

We rely on:

• Your consent, when you submit a form or subscribe to the newsletter. You gave us your details so we would reply, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
• Our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website and in understanding how it is used.
• Compliance with legal obligations, where we are required to retain records.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for anyone else to market to you.

We do share it with the service providers that run this website and our communications. Each of them processes it on our instructions only:

• Vercel - hosts the website and serves it to your browser. Processes server logs and IP addresses.
• MongoDB Atlas - the database where enquiries submitted through this site are stored.
• Resend - sends the email that reaches our studio inbox and the confirmation that reaches yours, and holds our newsletter subscriber list.
• Microsoft - provides our email service and, through Clarity, our website analytics.
• Sanity - the content management system that stores the words and images on this site. It does not hold information about you.

If you choose to continue a conversation on WhatsApp, that conversation takes place on WhatsApp and is governed by the privacy policy of WhatsApp and Meta, not this one. The same applies if you click the link to our address, which opens Google Maps.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so by a court or a competent authority.

Where your information is held

Our service providers operate internationally, and your information may be stored or processed outside the United Arab Emirates, including in the European Union and the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses, to keep your information protected to a comparable standard.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your project and to maintain a record of our dealings with you, and then for as long as any legal or accounting obligation requires. Where we no longer need them, we delete them.

Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately.

Analytics data held by Microsoft Clarity is retained according to Microsoft’s own retention schedule.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you send us is encrypted in transit. Access to our database and our email is restricted to the people in the studio who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet can never be intercepted, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Give you a copy of it
• Correct it, if it is wrong or out of date
• Delete it, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
• Stop using it for a particular purpose, including marketing
• Withdraw your consent, where our use of it rests on consent

To make any of these requests, email us at rfp@conceptor.ae. We will respond within thirty days. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, so that we are not handing your information to someone else.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can complain to the UAE Data Office, or to the data protection authority in your own country if you are outside the UAE.

Children

This website is intended for people enquiring about design services, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do with your information changes. The date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised. If we make a significant change we will make that clear on this page rather than relying on you to notice.
