A villa can be generous on paper and exhausting to live in. Almost always the cause is circulation: how you move between the places you actually use, and how often that route crosses somebody else's.
Map the day, not the rooms
Before allocating areas, we map a weekday and a weekend for each member of the household. Where those routes collide repeatedly, the plan needs work, regardless of how well proportioned the individual rooms are.
Guest and family zones
The majlis and the family living room do different jobs and should not share an approach. Getting the separation right early avoids the common retrofit of adding a second entrance once the house is occupied.
Service routes
Kitchen, laundry and staff circulation should reach the rooms they serve without passing through the rooms they do not. It is the least glamorous part of a villa plan and the one residents notice every single day.
